Americans Rate Israeli Candy! | What a Travesty! Travel Vlog Part 1

Well folks, we’re barely a few days into our Israeli adventure and already we’re reaching for the Tums. Why, you ask? Oh, just because we’ve had the pleasure of sampling some of the ‘delights’ of Israeli candy. And let me tell you, it’s been a real treat.

First up, we tried this chocolate bar called ‘Elite’. Now, it’s not exactly elite in our book, but apparently it’s all the rage in Israel. Our taste buds would beg to differ. The chocolate tasted like it was made from dirt and the texture was about as smooth as sandpaper. Thanks for that, Israel.

Next, we had the pleasure of trying a fruity little number called ‘Lachish’. And by pleasure, we mean we’re still trying to get the taste out of our mouths. It tasted like someone took a moldy apple and dipped it in sugar. Honestly, we’re not sure how the people of Israel eat such things on a daily basis. Are their taste buds made of iron?

And finally, we tried something called ‘Bamba’. Apparently, it’s a puffy snack that’s meant to taste like peanut butter. Well, we’re sorry to say but this ‘Bamba’ tasted like cardboard that had been left out in the rain. We really hope this isn’t the pinnacle of Israeli cuisine. If it is, we’re in trouble.

So there you have it folks, our first taste of Israeli candy. And what a taste it was. If you’re heading to Israel anytime soon, be sure to bring your own stash of goodies. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you.
